• Pilot : Candidates holding Certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going) with 6 months' experience as a Chief Officer
• Flotilla Engineer : Candidates holding Certificate of Competency as 1st Class Engineer (Motor) or (Steam & Motor) with experience as Chief Engineer.

The appointment can be on regular basis or on contract basis. Reservation is 2 for SC, 2 for ST and 4 for OBC in post of Pilot and 2 for SC, 1 for ST and 4 for OBC in post of Flotilla Engineer and applies for appointment on regular basis.
